Week 48-9


Hello everyone,

In these last two weeks of development, we’ve made some pretty good progress! For one thing, the game is now playable start to finish!

On top of that, there have been some pretty cool changes to the minimap:

  • The entire minimap is cleaner due switching from trilinear filtering to point filtering
  • The minimap shader has sharper, colored, 1-2-pixel outlines to show the borders around owned regions
  • Minimaps now use the world background texture instead of solid gray
  • And ground pin connections are shown on the minimap (We’re working making them anti-aliased)

In addition to working on the minimap, shields have been improved to glow with their player color instead of all being teal.

And finally, both energy & nanite miners now have ambient animations when powered.
